Pat John
Patrick John began his career as a title professional in 1985 in Dallas, Texas pulling deeds off of the microfiche machine in the title plant for Ticor Title and working in the file vault. For over thirty years, Pat has held a host of management and executive positions with, Lawyers Title, LandAmerica Financial Group, and First American Title in locations throughout the Midwest. His business acumen and analytical thinking earned him a reputation as an honest and driven title professional.
In 2007, Pat ventured out on his own founding TransCounty Title Agency and spearheaded the growth of the company in the Columbus, Ohio Metro area. He applied many of the concepts and principles from his corporate days, focusing on market share growth, sales, marketing, and the customer experience. In 2018 he sold that company to a local Community Bank and served as its
President for four years.
Since joining Community Title Network in 2022, Pat has enjoyed meeting and reconnecting with other business owners in the title insurance space to consult and advise on exit strategies, as well as mergers and acquisitions. In addition, he has opened multiple locations in Ohio and continues to focus on acquiring local title agencies across the State.
Pat attended Texas Tech University and Texas State University where he studied business management and psychology. He is a member of the Ohio Land Title Association, American Land Title Association, and was previously involved with FACES at the Columbus Zoo and the Red Cross of Columbus. Since 2013, Pat has also served on the Board of Directors for the Second and Seven Foundation and is currently an Advisory Board Member.
Pat lives in Columbus Ohio, and enjoys traveling with his wife Sarah, to see their 7 children and 3 grandchildren who are spread out across the country. In his spare time Pat enjoys playing golf, hunting for Pheasant and Dove, spending time at the beach in Florida with his wife, and visiting the family Ranch in Texas. Fun fact about Pat, as a High School Baseball player in the position of Catcher Pat was scouted by, and tried out for, the Philadelphia Phillies, single A team in 1983.
